William Earl "Bo" Holmes, Jr.

Mr. William Earl “Bo” Holmes, Jr., 60, of Phenix City, AL passed away Thursday August 15, 2024, at his home. 

 A funeral service will be held 11:00 am EDT Monday August 19, 2024, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Rev. William Holmes officiating. Interment with military honors will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until 11:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

 Mr. Holmes was born in Columbus, GA on February 27, 1964, son of the late William E. Holmes, Sr. and Dora Ann Baggett Holmes. He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. After his military service, Mr. Holmes worked for Uniroyal in Opelika, AL. He enjoyed photography and was especially fond of skyline photographs. Additionally, he was an avid Alabama fan and was known as the jokester in the family. Mr. Holmes attended His Gathering House church.

 Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla K. Holmes

 Mr. Holmes is survived by a daughter, Tracy Marie Holmes of Phenix City, AL; a son, Michael Holmes and wife Laura of Salem, AL; three sisters, Starla Outz and husband Michael of Salem, AL, Cindy Blandin of Phenix City, AL and Diane Pratt and husband John of Phenix City, AL; grandchildren, Alexis, Joseph and wife Abby, Brianna, Trenton, Tyler and Gavin; a great-grandchild, J. J. , as well as extended family and friends.
