William G. “Weez” Linsenbigler, 78, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 1, 2023, at Piedmont Healthcare Midtown in Columbus, Georgia.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. EST on Friday, March 3, 2023, in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home located at 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North Phenix City, AL 36867, with Rev. Johnathan Pike officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Linsenbigler was born in Braddock, Pennsylvania, the son of the late Harry C. Linsenbigler and Ann Chismar Linsenbigler. After high school, Mr. Linsenbigler proudly served his country in the United States Army for over three years. He then settled in Pittsburg, PA and raised his family. “Weez”, as he was known by his closest friends and family, enjoyed the outdoor life. He could often be found fishing, hunting and camping. Another past time “Weez” enjoyed was sitting by the pool with pets Roscoe P.(dec.) and Maggie Mae. He enjoyed stock car racing’s Outlaw Division or any other form of dirt track racing. Nineteen years ago, he moved to Phenix City, AL to be with his brother and his family. Above all, Mr. Linsenbigler loved his family.
Mr. Linsenbigler was preceded in death by his parents.
Those left to cherish his memory are sons Lenny Linsenbigler and his wife Carla of Pittsburg, PA and William Linsenbigler also of Pittsburg, PA; sister Patricia Luffe and husband Robert “Bob” of Pittsburg, PA; brother Harry Linsenbigler and his wife Janice of Phenix City, AL and two grandsons Jacob and Joshua Linsenbigler.
