William Clay Wilson

William Clay Wilson, 66, entered his heavenly home on August 7,2024. A visitation will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 HWY 431 N, Phenix City, Al 36867, on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, at 10:00 am EDT. A chapel service officiated by Father David Hamm will follow at 11:00 am EDT. Interment with Military Honors will follow at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery, 553 SR-165, Ft. Mitchell, Al 36856, beginning at 12:30 pm EDT. 

William Wilson was born in Columbus, Ga on April 23, 1958, to Lavenia Claudine Wilson and the late Travis Elton Wilson. Captain Wilson obtained his master’s degree and retired from the United States Air Force as a Dental Technician achieving many awards and ribbons such as the Humanitarian Service Medal, Air Force Organizational Excellence Award, Air Force Outstanding Unit Award, and more. During his military service, he married the love of his life, Myong J. Wilson, and remained a devoted husband for 28 years until his passing. After retiring from hospital administration, Mr. Wilson had more time to do the things he loved such as watching Atlanta Falcons Football and playing games. Mr. Wilson was passionate about recording and playing music as well as spending time with his family. He was a dedicated member of St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Navarre, Fl for 7 years. William Wilson will be deeply missed by all who know and love him. 

 In addition to his mother, Claudine Wilson of Columbus, GA; Mr. Wilson is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Myong J. Wilson of Navarre, FL; daughter, Tiffany Carlson (Brandon) of Columbus, Ga; sons, Kevin Wilson (Starlin) of Phenix City, Al, and Joseph Hart of Crestview, Fl; sister, Beth Register of Columbus, Ga; brother, Bruce Wilson of Columbus, Ga; grandchildren, Jasmine Carlson, Jacob Carlson, and Joshua Carlson of Tennessee, and Nolan Wilson, Gavin Wilson, and Hunter Wilson of Phenix City, Al; and many beloved friend and extended family.
