Yetta Lee Knighten Sinquefield, 90, of Phenix City, AL passed away peacefully on Thursday, April 27, 2017 at Gentiva Hospice in Columbus, GA.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm EDT Saturday, April 29, 2017 at Pierce Chapel Assembly of God Church in Phenix City with Rev. Boyd Cochran officiating. Her family will hold a private interment at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends at the memorial service.
Mrs. Sinquefield was born November 12, 1926 in Morgan County, AL to Clarence Knighten and Thelma Lee Grady Knighten. She was retired from Opelika Manufacturing and for many years worked as a greeter for Walmart. She enjoyed her Gospel Quartet, Gospel Sings, and watching TV, and especially spending time with family, and her pet dog Freckles. She was Baptist by faith. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Frank Sinquefield, and a sister, Helen Henderson.
She is survived by a son, Roger Sinquefield and wife Pamela of Phenix City, AL, two grandchildren, Christopher Sinquefield, and Nikki Sinquefield, five great grandchildren, Noah, Adi, Jamey, Peyton, and Dixie, numerous other family members, and many caring friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions are made to Pierce Chapel Assembly of God Church memorial fund for the Yetta Sinquefield family.
