I served with John at Ft. Benning and will always remember him as an amazing leader and an even better man. I tried to visit several years ago but had to settle for a phone call and will always cherish that talk. RIP John! My prayers go out to His wife and the rest of his family.

I first met John back in 1988 he was our Drill Instructor and later in 94 as my platoon Sergeant. Of course we had our ups and downs like all NCOs do. However, he taught me some valuable lessons that I carried with me to be a successful Senior Noncommissioned Officer. I always enjoyed our time together in the field during training. 31 Charlie kept him on his toes that is for sure. Many blessings to the family and may he find peace.
