Mr. Horsnby was one of the kindest men I ever had the pleasure of being around.В  His love for his family was so evident.В  I was fortunate enough to know him through years of growing up in Phenix City and being friends with Karen.В  He always made me feel like family too! Waylon married my cousin, Myrlene Stevens Hornsby when I was 7 years old and never really knew one without the other. Waylon was always such an easy going person, never in all these years did I hear a harsh word from him, kindness was second nature to him.I know Deborah and Karen his two beautiful daughters along with the grand and great grandchildren are going to miss him. I am so glad he left behind such wonderful memories to remember. God bless you Myrlene, after 70 blessed years I know you will miss him beyond measure. Fly high Waylon you earned your wings.
