I am so sorry for the loss of your loved one. The Bible offers us a hope of seeing our loved ones again at John 5:28,29. It also promises a time when death and pain will be done away with at Revelation 21:4. I hope these help you find comfort.

TO THE FAMILY OF ALICE FAYE SPIVEY:

Dear Frank, Lisa, Kathyjo and family members,

The untimely death of Alice was received with shock and much sadness. Please accept my personal and sincere condolences. Our friendship over the years are important entries in my book of memories.

It would be tempting to say that Alice inherited the ingredients of her success in life or that it was something within her bloodlines. But instead it was the sum total of her belief in God, merit, and hard work, and especially, the choices that she made at a young age that determined the direction her life would take.

Alice was a giving person who in her own way was always searching for ways to make life better for her family and others. She was a kind and distinguished lady of class, goodness and character.

This is the light she cast for those who looked to her for help in their darkest moments. The light that led so many who pursued the American dream and the expectation of justice, the light that now serves as a guiding beacon for those who follow in her wake.

Alice's life bent toward fairness for all and she truly possessed that American quality. She fought the tough battles that were required of her to the end and had a capacity to learn and a capacity to listen. But what stands out the most is not what she accomplished in her lifetime, but how she lived her life. She moved through this world with calmness, confidence and an unshakable love for her family.

Please know that Alice will be profoundly missed and will always be the rainbow in our clouds. Our heart aches at our loss, but her legacy will always be with us.

So, at the end of that last tour of duty and hearing the sound of that final all aboard' call to Heaven we should come to realize that a life lived believing, giving, caring and loving your family is the only life that really matters.

May the hope found in Gods' word out weigh the grief the family feels? Please know that we are more than sadden by her departure but blessed with the fact of knowing Heaven has just gained another angel.

Gone from our eyes, but not forgotten in our hearts.

My sincere condolences to the family during this time of loss. Even Jesus wept at the loss of a loved one. I have found comfort in the scriptural promise at Rev. 21:3, 4 and I pray you will as well.

Frank, I am saddened to read of your wife's death. But 57 years of marriage to your high school sweetheart is pure Heaven. I know because I married my high school & Auburn University sweetheart, Linda Downing Blau, who passed away almost eight years ago. I have happy memories of our days around the campfire in Edgefield, SC at Masters time.
May God Bless us all, Frank,
Your Friend,
Bill Blau
