Anthony “Tony” C. Lifsey

Anthony “Tony” Christopher Lifsey, 38, of Salem, AL died at his home on Monday, August 28, 2023.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 AM (EST) on Saturday, September 02, 2023 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. David Dodgen and Rev. Ron Bowman officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery, Barnesville, GA. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday at the funeral home.

Tony was born January 18, 1985 in Atlanta, GA son of Lester J. Lifsey and Tammy Rosser Elliott Pittman. He was a roofer by trade working for Superior Roofing. Tony was always working hard at his job, but he found great joy in being in the woods hunting, fishing and just enjoying nature. He also enjoyed working on his Acura keeping it running and in top condition. His music was his quiet place to go when he just needed some down time. Tony loved and was loved by his family. He would do almost anything to ensure they were happy.

Tony left us far sooner than we expected, and this has left a void in our family. However, we will always cherish his memories in our hearts forever. Always smiling when we take a walk in the woods and remember how much he enjoyed them.

Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Mary Keeney. He often said she was the only one who really understood him.

Survivors include his parents, Lester Lifsey and Tammy (Cris Pittman) Elliott; one son, Israel Rhys Lifsey; two daughters, Madisyn Shyanne Lifsey and Merida Trinity Lifsey; two sisters, Anita Murphy (David) and Kaylie Pittman (Jermaine Browning); five brothers, Jonathan “Brooke” Clontz, Robert “Bobby” Elliott, Stephen “Chad” Elliott, Benjamin Pittman and Ron “Nick” Pittman (Jessica); several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and friends.
