Carl David Hysmith, age 67, resident of Seale, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, November 21, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Memorial services are scheduled at the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N, Phenix City, Alabama on Friday, November 27, 2020, 4 p.m. with Reverend Dean Knipe officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Hysmith, son of the late Carlton Q.P. Hysmith and Lois Louise Bowers Hysmith, was born July 9, 1953 in Phenix City, Alabama. He was retired from McCarley Transmission where he worked faithfully for over 20 years as a master mechanic. Mr. Hysmith was well known for his ability to repair vehicles as noted by numerous car owners contacting him with issues. He was a huge Dale Earnhardt,Sr fan, NASCAR fan, and avid Alabama Crimson Tide football fan. Mr. Hysmith enjoyed rock and roll music, country music, but had a strong passion towards Beatles music. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, particularly his grandchildren.
Besides his parents, Mr. Hysmith was preceded in death by his wife, Angela Susan Brown Hysmith. He is survived by a daughter, Mary Danford and her husband Brandon of Smiths Station, Alabama; son, Justin David Hysmith and his wife Amber of Seale, Alabama; three sisters, Sarah Hysmith Daniels, Patricia Burditt and her husband Max, and Deborah Hysmith Avery; six grandchildren, Colby Rathel, Brodie Danford, Brock Danford, Annlee Hysmith, Jacob Brown, and Baylee Tittle; many other relatives and friends.
The family requests everyone wear Alabama Crimson Tide or NASCAR apparel to the service.
