Carleen Carly Burnham

Carleen “Carly” Burnham, 69, of Phenix City, AL, passed away on Friday, November 1, 2019, at her home.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 pm EST, Wednesday, November 6, 2019 at St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church in Phenix City, AL with Rev. Donnie Lumpkin officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6:00 until 8:00 pm EST at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.

Mrs. Burnham was born on February 24, 1950 in Linton, IN, daughter of the late Ernest Paul Delph and Rachel Mildred Gaskin Delph.  She worked in management and accounting in the hotel industry for over 30 years.  Mrs. Burnham enjoyed working with computers, teaching home school classes and all types of animals.  However, she loved caring for her family above all.  Mrs.   Burnham was a member of St. Mark Freewill Baptist Church.   

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by a niece, Tonya Mellage.

She is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Joe W. Burnham of Phenix City, AL; one sister, Alberta Wessel of Phenix City, AL; one brother, David Delph of Richmond, VA; nieces, Bobbie West and husband Arthur of Smiths Station, AL, Lisa Henderson and Jada Cook, both of Phenix City, AL; nephews, Aron Delph and Sherry of Columbus, GA, Jay Mellage and Christine of Cincinnati, OH and Jason Mellage and wife Daisy of Smiths Station, AL; great-nieces & nephews, Christina, John, Brandon, David, Amber, Robert, Eric, Brandon, Brendon, Kevin, Kim, Kate, Kelly, Christopher, Bryan, Amber, Brent, Danielle, Michael, Mark, Tonya and Aurora; several other extended family and caring friends.
