Carolyn Ann Poole, 78, of Phenix City, Alabama, went to be with her Lord on Sunday, July 24, 2022, at her residence while surrounded by her loving family.
A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM EST on Thursday, July 28, 2022, at Vance Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Dewayne Dean and Rev. Alan Griffith officiating. Interment will follow at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday evening from 6:00-8:00 PM EST at the funeral home.
Mrs. Poole was born and raised in Syracuse, New York, the daughter of the late William E. Chadwick and Theo Etta Davis Chadwick. Later in life, her family moved to Tarrant, Alabama, where she worked and met her husband Rev. Tommy Poole. She faithfully served her Lord as a pastor’s wife for her entire marriage. She enjoyed flowers and her pets. She also enjoyed singing as a soloist and as a choir member. Above all, she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Poole was preceded in death by her brother Donald Chadwick.
Those left to cherish her memory is her husband of fifty-five years Rev. Tommy Poole; one daughter Rebecca “Becky” Tilley and husband Adam of Phenix City, AL; son William “Billy” Thomas Poole and wife Tracy of Smiths Station, AL; grandchildren Trevor Poole, Tyler Poole, Brodie Tilley and Aiden Tilley and a host of church family, extended family and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting contributions be made to St. Jude or Columbus Hospice in honor of Mrs. Carolyn.
