Charles Britton Linton, age 84, passed away on Friday, December 17, 2021.  Mr. Litton retired from Swift Galey and Lord as an overhauler in the Yarn Mill several years ago.  Graveside services are scheduled at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama on Monday, December 20, 2021, at 11 a.m. according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 3738 US Hwy 431N/280 W, Phenix City, Alabama.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, December 19, 2021 from 3-4 p.m.

Mr. Linton is preceded in death by his father Ralph Linton; mother, Ivy Lois Lester Linton; brothers, Ralph R. Linton, William “Billy” Linton; sisters, Naomi O’Neil, Evelyn Linton, and Betty Underwood.  He is survived by his brother, Roy (Brenda) Linton of Phenix City, Alabama; a sister, Beckie (Terry) Stringfellow of Prattville, Alabama; several nieces and nephews.

Will miss my Uncle we use to talk a lot about his childhood on the farm he loved working in the yard.I would go with him to the doctor and take him by the grocery store to get his groceries,he loved the hamburgers from The Hidden Grill when he was driving he would come by and get one.He had his ways but we all do some good some bad.Before his health got bad we talked a lot about God and he would say my mama said days would be like they are now. I hope to meet him when I cross over.
