Michael was my grandfather, I remember walking to the train tracks and pond to fish with him and my sisters, I’ve thought about him everyday and it has been more than a year. You will be missed but never forgotten I love you and miss you so much
RIP CSM Bush. It was a privilege to serve with you.
CSM Bush was my 1SG in B/2-325th AIR when I was a young Sergeant. In 1987, while in Replacement, I requested to go to his company because he had served in the unit I had just departed. I knew he was special before even meeting him in person. We last saw each other in 2004 in Iraq and I got the chance to speak with him and thanked him for just being a great person.
May God bless Mike's soul. His dedication to an organization I'm proud to be a member of, Healing4Heroes is SO greatly admired. May the lives he touched give those veterans the strength to fight whatever battle they encounter. Empathy to family, friends and anyone whose been touched by his life.
Barbara & Bush Family - Maria Elena and I extend our deepest sympathies. We pray that the Lord will give you the faith, strength and perseverance that is necessary during this very difficult time. CSM Bush was the rock upon which our Soldiers stood for courage and inspiration during the most challenging of times on the battlefield. He was a magnificent caring leader, a mentor, a great warrior and a friend. CSM Bush inspired our young warriors to excel under all conditions and he always shared in the sacrifices that our mission required. The soldiers of 1st Armor Division and V Corps were blessed having him as their Command Sergeant Major, especially during wartime. His contributions to our Soldiers, our Army and our Nation are unsurpassed and all are better off because CSM Bush lived the life of an American Warrior. I personally remain eternally grateful for his friendship, his sterling leadership, his strength of character and his sacrifices while we shared the battlefield in Germany and Iraq. He was by my side as we shared the heights of military accomplishment as well as the depths of sacrifice and sorrow. CSM Bush has now joined the endless ranks of warriors in the Mansions of the Lord – May he rest in Peace.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

I served with Michael Bush when he was a young Staff Sergeant and the 4.2 Plt Sgt, CSC 2/325 INF, 82nd ABN DIVISION “80-81.” I was impressed with his knowledge of the 4.2 Mortar and FDC operations. His straight forward leadership still impressed me too this day. It is pleasure to have served with him and he will never be forgotten. God bless and R.I.P. CSM Bush, Michael
You should be so proud of what your husband stood for. CSM Bush represented the best in all of us and was a hero through and through. He may be gone but he will never be forgotten. My deepest Sympathy
1st SGT Bush (B Co. 2/325) wasn't a man of many words in my experience. He was stoic with a stern visage outwardly but he was instrumental to the formation of this young airborne trooper and the person I was to become. I was fortunate to have witnessed his inner side a few times as well and there was a kind and fair side that on occasion resulted in a small smirk or grimace when he found something humorous or amusing. He was a soldier's soldier and always prepared to do the hard work to see any job through. Mission complete Top! I hope you find peace.
Condolences to the family of CSM Bush. 1SG Bush was the first 1SG in the Army I had the pleasure of serving under (B-2/325 PIR). Years later, I ran into CSM Bush in Bosnia, and we were able to "catch up" on things. I know that he had a great impact on each soldier he ever crossed paths with. He was a great leader and will be sorely missed.
CSM Bush was my Platoon Sergeant while serving in the 2/325. He was a tough leader who made tough paratroopers. He taught me leadership skills that served me well during my time in the Army as well as a thirty year career in law enforcement. My deepest condolences to the Bush family. All The Way Airborne

R.I.P. CSM!! It was a pleasure working with you in A/2/325....God Speed!!!
CSM Bush was a wonderful man, an awesome soldier, and a highly effective and awesome leader of men. It was my privilege to have known him, to have worked with him, and to have fought with him. I have always had the utmost respect for him since the first moment that we met, and nothing... absolutely nothing ever changed that... I honestly cannot believe he is gone... I have to accept it... but I can't fathom why such a wonderful person was called away from his family and friends, and his fellow soldiiers from his decades of service to our nation. He is already greatly missed... my utmost and my very sincere condolences to his wife, his family, his friends, and his legion of soldiers that he led in peace and in war.... Rest easy CSM Bush.... we will carry the torch.... you are NOT forgotten.....
My condolence's to the entire Bush family. CSM Bush was my 1SG at B co 2/325 A.I.R. and my first 1SG in the US Army. I cannot overstate the positive impact that man had on me as a Soldier and a Leader in the Army. I was fortunate enough to run across him from time to time over the years as I continued to serve and it was always an absolute pleasure to see him and talk about the Army, family and leading Soldiers. He was the epitome of the BE, KNOW and DO of a Non-Commissioned Officer. Till we meet again CSM....

My condolences to the Bush Family over the loss of CSM Bush. I served with him in the early 80's in the 2/325 and I was pleasantly surprised to link up with him, and his Brother Kevin, a few years ago at All American Week-Ft Bragg. We have lost a fine Solder way too early. He, Family, and Friends are in my thoughts and prayers during this time of sorrow.

To the Bush family, please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of CSM Bush. I am at a loss for words to describe my thoughts, and feelings, on hearing the news of his sudden passing.CSM Bush was my Platoon Sergeant (E-6) when I was a member the 82nd Airborne Division, Combat Support Company, 2nd Battalion 325th Infantry (Airborne), 4.2 Inch Mortar Platoon. This was the 1980’s. I was a young newly promoted Sergeant (E-5). His words of advice and guidance have stayed with me these many years.Again, to the Bush family please accept my, and my family’s sincere condolences.Rest In Peace CSM Bush.

CSM Bush was a great inspiration for this retired soldier. He set the example for people to follow. I first fell under him in Baumholder GE. Deployed to Bosnia under him and followed him to Ft. Carson to 1/12 inf. Thank you CSM for your lessons and be at peace now for you have done your time in hell you are now in heaven.
Michael was my platoon sergeant and friend when in the 82nd Airborne Division. His unfailing leadership and the stellar example he set for me and every service member that knew him influenced generations of soldiers and leaders. He was a soldier’s soldier. My most sincere condolences to Barbara and his family in this time of loss.
