Mr. David Alan Sjostrom, 23, of Ft. Mitchell, AL passed away Sunday, February 14, 2021 at Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.
A memorial service will be held 10:00 am Monday, February 22, 2021 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Brother Vernon McCoy officiating. The family will receive friends Monday from 9:00 to 10:00 am, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
David was born October 10, 1997 in Honolulu, HI, son of Michael S. Sjostrom and Shelly Widders Sjostrom. He was employed by Resource MFG at Meridian Brick and Masonry Supply, where they often joked that he was the future plant manager. David enjoyed fishing, archery and firearms. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Phenix City, AL.
He was preceded in death by his fraternal grandparents, Karmn and Malva Sjostrom.
Other than his parents, David is survived by one sister, Jacquelynne Sjostrom of Ft. Mitchell, AL; two brothers, Brandon Sjostrom and Matthew Sjostrom, both of Ft. Mitchell, AL; maternal grandparents, Gary and RaeJean Widders; several extended family and friends.
