Dennis D Mansfield Sr., 64 of Phenix City, Al passed away Friday morning, May 19, 2023, in the comfort of his home while surrounded by his loving family.
Dennis was born December 14, 1958, in Kennett, Mo, son of the late Ewin Mansfield and Marvelene McCaig Crowe. He was a long-haul truck driver and enjoyed traveling across the country. Dennis and his wife, Ellen, were team drivers for Benny Whitehead, which was the last company Dennis drove for. Dennis was a loving father and husband, grandfather, and great grandfather. He loved cooking and grilling, fishing, camping, NASCAR, President Trump, and Alabama football.
Other than his parents he was preceded in death by five sisters; Nonna Sheppa, Imogene Franks, Dorothy Mansfield, Cynthia Sorrells, and Sue Goodwin; one brother, Chester Mansfield and his beloved pups Heidi and Trixie Mansfield.
He is survived by his wife Ellen Mansfield; three boys Dennis Mansfield and wife Misty, Nicholas Mansfield and wife Erin, and Matthew Mansfield; two stepchildren, Kristina Skeen and husband Robert, and Johnathan Webster; a sister, Sharon McCart; three brothers, Terry Nile, Tommy Crowe and wife Pauline, and Sonny Crowe. Dennis was Paw Paw to nine grandchildren, Katherine Mansfield, Melinda Mansfield, Haleigh Mansfield, Allison Mansfield, Rayvn Mansfield, Sky Skeen, Maxim Ricks, Star Skeen, and Alexander Skeen and one precious great granddaughter, Amanda Mansfield. Dennis is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, extended family members, fellow truckers, and many caring friends.
A private memorial service will be held by his loving and devoted family at a later date.
