Mr. Donald “Donnie” Benefield, 71, of Phenix City, AL, passed away Tuesday, January 3, 2023 at his home.
A memorial service will be held Monday, January 9, 2023 at 5:30 pm (EST) at Crawford Road Baptist Church with Rev. Marvin Minter officiating according Vance Brooks Funeral Home.
Mr. Benefield was born November 18, 1951 in Phenix City, AL son of the late Radus Howard Benefield and Mary Estelle Bush Benefield. He worked as a machinist most of his career at Lummus. Mr. Benefield enjoyed hunting, fishing and watching Auburn football. He was a long time member of Crawford Road Baptist Church.
Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Benefield.
He is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Sheryl Benefield of Phenix City, AL; a son, Michael Corrick and wife Paula of Phenix City, AL; two grandchildren, Courtney Ferguson and Jana Crawford; one great-grandchild, Raelynn Mitchell; other extended family and friends.
