I attended W. T Morgan School and Southwest High in Macon with Ed. He got me to do many things I didn't have the confidence to do, mainly playing baseball at Willingham Jr. I had stopped attending church years earlier than Willingham "A", and it was Ed who invited me to Cherokee Heights to a revival and got me back in church. It is amazing how he helped me change so many things in life. My proudest moment in life was when I became an ordained Deacon. Without Ed and Mrs. June, I don't think that would have ever happened. Sleep on, my friend; you won the fight!
I miss you Daddy, got my sweet sweet book you gave me right here by my bed. I kept the Dunvegan coaster by my bed for my coffee. Glad you made it to Scotland and glad you made it Home. Misses Clause is making biscuits on me and last night when I cried BG came right to me and licked the tears off my face. I love you and I will see you soon. Get your 4th hole in one on the streets of gold course. Love, Rodie

I first spoke with Ed back in 2021. I was a new sales rep and Ed was one of my first calls and he helped me so much since I didn't know the industry,. He was patient and always friendly. I will miss him but feel great knowing he's in Heaven with our father.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
My heart is sadden as I learned this morning of the passing of Ed. In Ed's early working career, he was a representative of a local office supply company and would make calls to my office. Ed was a wonderful person, always had a sweet smile and loved his family so much. We were able to share in small amounts of time as he needed to go to his next stop. He was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and witnessed to all he came in contact with. Please except my condolences
We were sad to learn of Eddie's death. He always had a smiling face and kind words as he greeted us at church each Sunday. Praying for you Jan and your family, that God bless you with His comfort today and in the days ahead, and give you all peace in knowing that Eddie is with Him.
I sat around a number of fires that Ed and I built in his firepit on cold sunny days. We talked lawn mowers, new grass, big dogs, funny stories, things that bothered us and things that made us feel good and piled yet another big log on the blaze. It was all small talk but good talk. Time seemed to slow down and all seemed well with the world, he had that effect on me. He was a great neighbor and true friend. I will miss you buddy, thanks for your kindness and please rest well.
Mr. Partain was one of the kindest, personable, brightest rays of sunshine I have ever met. I first met him through my mother’s shop, where he would come every few months and personally deliver invoices he printed for us. He later came back into our lives when I began working with his daughter, Catherine. He was an absolutely amazing human being and a wonderful father and he will be greatly missed. I pray for peace and comfort for his family.
So sorry to hear of Ed’s passing. He was a wonderful testimony to the love of Christ. Neill and I will be praying for Jan, Catherine and Matt.
Jan, Matt and Catherine so many memories come to mind as I’m thinking of Eddie. He always had a smile on his face and loved welcoming you into his home. Know that I’m keeping all in my thoughts and prayers. Love and hugs. 🙏🏻🌿🕊️
Sending prayers & love to you all. Ed was a very kind and cheerful man. He will be greatly missed.
We are sorry to hear of your loss and we are holding your family up in prayer...please accept our humble condolences. Lost my Mom in January last year and I know the feeling of loss hurts even though we know they are in a much better place.

I'm going to miss Big Ed. He was a positive and enthusiastic person that I enjoyed! Most of all he loves the Lord and now he is with Jesus...alive and well again. May God give grace and comfort to his family.

Prayers to the family during this difficult time.
What a sad day, hearing of Ed's passing. He was such a joyful person, always commenting on my dog pictures, and showing me pictures and video's of his little dog, Skippy. He always had a smile, and positive things to say. We will miss him stopping in and chatting with us. May his family find peace. I'm sure he will be greatly missed.
Just a great guy! Always nice, positive, sweet, and smiling. My condolences to everyone he touched.

Jan, Matt, and Catherine, I'm so sorry to hear about Eddie. He was always so kind and thoughtful. The kids enjoyed him when they all hung out together when they were younger. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. Hugs and love, Billie Jean
Mrs Jan, Matt, and Catherine,
I can't imagine your heartache right now. Ed and I had a special friendship for the last 20yrs. He thought the world of all of you and talked about you all non-stop. Ed was with me through some of the most challenging years of my life. He gave me opportunity and encouragement when I needed it most. One thing is for sure, Ed is with Jesus today. He never missed a chance to share his faith and spread the goodness of God. We will all miss Ed. He made an impression all every single person he came in contact with. You all will be in my prayers. I pray God gives you peace.
We are all really gonna miss Ed. Always enjoyed talking to him. God bless you and your family. To God be the Glory.

I know how much Ed loved his family and I know that you will miss him terribly
I truly treasured the friendship we had and the many golf outings we had as dew sweepers at Bull Creek. I also loved Ed's humor about our dogs 🐕 Harley and Ben asking-"what would Harley do?" And, "Ben don't like Harley does he?" We had a lot of fun. I know that he will have a lot of stories for the folks in heaven. Please don't hesitate to let me know if I can help you in any way. Love ❤ Marion and Robin
The angels came and took Eddie home and, oh what rejoicing there is in Heaven. Eddie was ready for the big celebration, to see Jesus, his sweet daughter Rebecca and the rest of His loved ones. A day, we Christian’s look forward to, no more sadness, sickness, pain,, nor death, only love, joy and happiness . But we, who remain, miss our loved ones. A part of them will always be with us as they continue to live in our hearts. We long to see them and share with them. Praise God, one day we will.
And, although, we, are happy for them and rejoice in their homecoming, the separation leaves us with heavy hearts , and a desire to see them, to be with them. So Jan, as you and your family adjust to your life here without your husband, father and friend, you all will remain in our prayers. May God carry you and comfort you. My prayer is, He will give you and the children a peace beyond all understanding . Praise God for His Son who has given us eternal life. One day, there will be no more parting and we know it.. This isn’t the end nor goodbye. It’s, “We’’ll see you later, Eddie❤️“ Until then, Billy and I are sending our love and prayers .. We will be here for you if there is anything you need. We love you.
Years back we had an elder in the church who said, When I die, they will say, “The nut has left his shell”. That silly saying always reminds me, as a Christian, there is no death. The body dies, but we, our souls live forever. We will have a new imperishable body waiting for us. Eddie has his, one day we will rejoice as we receive ours..
I know your hearts are heavy with the loss of Eddie. His true faith in God has given him a new home with no pain. All of you are in my prayers every day. I will always remember the times we would all go to eat. Eddie always had some great stories to tell. He will be missed, and you are all loved.
Jan,
Rod and I know that Ed's departure has left a big void in your family and you miss him terribly. We also will miss him for so many reasons. One of those was his love for Road Trips to the Bullock House for 'Fried Green Tomatoes' and to the Golf Pro Store.
Those who knew Ed, knew he belonged to and loved the Lord Jesus Christ. He loved Life, he loved his family and he especially loved "Mrs. Jan". If you knew Ed you also knew he loved golf.
These past 2 yrs. as he has valiantly fought his battle against cancer, we were blessed to see him grow more and more in love with Jesus.
The last several months each time we saw him, if he was able to speak, he spoke of Jesus and wanting to see Him. We left our visit each time inspired and comforted that our dear friend Ed was 'Heaven Ready'. So today we rejoice with him that God has granted the desire of his heart.
We love you Jan, and Matt, Catherine and Mr. Bobby and you and your entire family are in our Prayers. Rod & Bert"...the time of my departure has come. I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day.... (2 Tim. 6-8)
Jan, Matt, and Catherine: My prayers are with you. I will miss Eddie's sense of humor. He and I had many talks about faith and I will especially miss those. He was a man with great trust in our Lord.Ric Tipton
So sorry for your loss. Prayers for you & your family. ❤🙏
