Elisabeth Thull Sandlin

Elisabeth Thull Sandlin, 87, of Columbus, GA passed away on Thursday, June 23, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital.

Elisabeth was born on September 9, 1934 in Worms, Germany to the late Heinrich Thull and Barbara Schweitzer Thull. She was a beautiful lady with a giving spirit and loving heart. Elisabeth enjoyed going to yard sales, playing Bingo, and had a special gift when it came to baking. She treated others with kindness and was always willing to share a smile. Elisabeth was Catholic by faith.

Other than her parents, Elisabeth is preceded in death by her loving and devoted husband of 49 years Billy D. Sandlin.

Survivors include nieces Elke Klomann, Ingrid Ehrlich, and Gudrun Bräuler and their respective families, nephew Dieter Thull, and the Schneider family.

In memory of Elisabeth Thull Sandlin, Stephanie Murphy lit a candle

I have known Lis for 29 years. She was there when my daughter was born and when she graduated from high school. She was more than a family member to all of us. My mom, Irma McRae, was her best friend. They spoke everyday, since both were pretty much homebound. We are missing her so much.
