Eloise W. Roper, 95, of Columbus, GA passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at the Columbus Hospice House.  The service will be livestreamed on the Vance Brooks Funeral Home (Vance Memorial Chapel) Facebook page on Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 3 p.m. EST. 

Eloise was born on June 28, 1924 in Enterprise, AL to the late Robert and Arbie Estelle Walker. She was a gifted hairdresser who enjoyed getting to know people. Eloise married her sweetheart, James Charlie Roper, spending 56 wonderful years together. She loved her family and was always eager to share sweet stories about her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren. Eloise will be dearly missed by her family and friends, as well as her church family at Edgewood Assembly of God.

Other than her husband and parents, Eloise is preceded in death by her grandson, Joshua Daniel.

Survivors include her daughters, Gail Watson, Sheila Huntington (Garry), and Angela Daniel (Tony); son, Jerry Roper; grandchildren: Michele Atwood (Arthur), Mickey Barfield (Wanda), Alecia Maddox (Sean), Terry Milner (Monica), Tim Huntington (Angie), Tammy Kelley (Todd), Tiffany Daniel, Sheree Daniel, James Daniel (Nadine), Jordan Frost (Clint); 23 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.
