Eltryn Violetta Golden, 98, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Monday, November 19, 2018. A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Tuesday, November 20, 2018 beginning at 2:00 PM (EST) with Rev. Udell Addison officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. The family will have a private burial at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery.
Violetta was born on July 15, 1920 in Chipley, FL to the late Leon and Alda Newton.
She was employed for eighteen years at Muscogee Mills and was a member of Grace Assembly of God.
Other than her parents, Violetta is preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Golden; sons, Clifford Knox and Kenneth Knox; sisters, Juanita Little, Edna Davidson, Lula Davidson, Willa Brauch; brother, Paul Newton.
Survivors include her loving and dedicated daughter-in-law, Larlene Horton, and three grandchildren.
