Mrs. Koon had a tremendous impact on my life. As my English teacher in the 1965-66 school year, she was demanding, but rising to that challenge gave me confidence in my abilities. She was always kind and fair. Even as a teenager I was impressed with her accomplishments. I saw her a few times after that year and continued to be impressed with her devotion to the causes in which she believed. More than once I have thought that she had been given a very appropriate name. She was truly a lady who lived a graceful life.

Our sincere condolences to Neil & the family on the passing of Grace. I remember my Mother Mary Patrick Culbert travelling south to visit the Koon family over the years. I’m sure that I was on one of those trips as a kid a long time ago. Grace was a very kind and gracious lady and she will be missed.

I am sad to hear of the loss of Grace. I knew Grace very well and considered her my friend. I knew her as a Christian lady, a wife and mother who dearly loved her family and friends. She was very conscientious in her endeavors which included her church and community. I enjoyed many social activities with Grace and traveling to see various interests and learned to love her as a very caring person and a true friend. May God bless her family and friends as they will miss their precious Grace.--Linda Alexander
