Herman Ray Williams, 68, of Hatchechubbee, AL died on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at East Alabama Medical Center, Opelika, AL.
Graveside Services will be held at 2:00 PM (EST) / 1:00 PM (CDT) on Thursday, December 29, 2022 in the Hatchechubbee United Methodist Church Cemetery with Rev. Buddy Walker officiating. Honorary pall bears will be the “Social Club” from The City Grill.
Mr. Williams was born October 6, 1954 in Hatchechubbee, AL son of the late Frank David Williams, Sr. and Elizabeth “Betty” Theis Williams. He was a “jack of all trades” who enjoyed tinkering with his hot rods and boats. He also enjoyed bartering with others. Ray was a simple man who enjoyed simple things in life. He was a hard worker who provided well for his family. If he was your friend, then he was your friend in thick and thin. Ray has set a solid foundation for his three sons, his grandchildren and those who knew him.
Mr. Williams was preceded in death by his parents, David and Betty Williams and a brother, Frank David Williams, Jr.
Survivors include his three sons, Ike Williams (Callie), Jake Williams (Kari Beth) and Jud Williams (Ginny); four sisters, Janice Bullock (James), Donna Adams (Rick), Sherry Perry (Emory) and Susan Williams Jones; one brother, Gary Williams (Renee); six grandchildren, Cameron “Cam”, Cade, Carter, Cullen, Kason and Addie Kate; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

My deepest sympathies to Mr. Ray's family. I am so sorry for your loss.Mr. Ray and my momma, Robin Johnston, grew up togther. I grew up listening to stories of their shenanigans. After momma passed, Mr. Ray would stop in to check on my Poppy, Jimmy Johnston.

I met Mr. Williams when I was a teenager and he was very nice to me. My condolences to his family and friends.
