Homer D. Cobb, III, age 76, longtime resident of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away on Monday, August 10, 2020 at Columbus Hospice House. Private services will be held at a later date. Mr. Cobb, son of the late Homer D. Cobb, Jr. and Bernice Wright Cobb, was born September 9, 1943 in Columbus, Georgia. After high school, he began a career as a Barber where he served the Columbus/Phenix City area for many years. During his working career as a barber, he owned and operated both Cobb’s Barber and Style and Edgewood Barber and Style. Mr. Cobb was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed watching old movies, particularly old western movies. He also enjoyed collecting old bottles.
Mr. Cobb is survived by his wife of 43 years, Karen Cobb; one daughter, Suwon “Suzy” Lechowitz; two sons, William A. Cobb and Homer Cobb IV and his wife Rainey; many other relatives and friends.
