James “Lawrence” Hudson, 86, of Parrott, GA passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at Piedmont Columbus Regional Northside. Funeral services will be held at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Friday, August 5, 2022 beginning at 11:00 AM with his brother Rodney Hudson officiating. The interment will conclude at Foremans Cemetery, Macedonia Church Road, Parrott, GA. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM., one hour prior to the service.

Lawrence was born on March 24, 1936 in Preston, GA to James Lyvahn Hudson and Mary Nelle Fussell Hudson. He served in the United States Army Reserve and was employed at Champion Mobile Home where he worked as a maintenance man.

Other than his parents, Lawrence is preceded in death by his wife Sarah Ellen Moore Hudson, daughter Linda Lesch, and son Kenneth Ray Hudson.

Survivors include his daughter Felicia Foster (Daniel) of Buena Vista, GA; sons James Leon Hudson of Columbus, GA and Jimmy Lon Hudson (Kelly) of Claxton, GA; sister Jackie Frith of Webster County, GA; brothers Alfred Hudson (Sybil) of Webster County, GA, Rodney Hudson (Gloria) of Americus, GA, and Leonard Hudson of Pelham, GA; daughter-in-law Lisa Hudson; 15 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
