So sad to just find out that my big brother passed so many months ago, I will truly miss him. I will always have my memories of him while we were growing up, times were tough back then but we made it through. I love you Brother

Mr.Jim and Mrs.Y, were our neighbors when we lived In Seale after chris retired from Ft.Benning. We would often chat with them over the fence , or some days we would just go over to chat. Chris would go set with Mr.Jim and chatted for many hours on end. We were very sad when we had to move!! We felt like they became family over the time we were blessed to have been their neighbor!!! Mr.Jim will be missed!!!

I was so sorry to hear of James’s passing. He had become such a dear friend. I met him through my Mother, Mildred GAchet. They were 1st cousins and she has recounted the memories she has of her childhood and many center around James. Mom is presently in a nursing home in Clanton where James made the long trip to visit. He was so sweet to her. She would ask for his hugs and kisses and he appeared glad to oblige. One could tell from their interaction the affection they held for each other. Whenever I could help her talk on the phone to her sisters and grandchildren, she always asked me to call James. In fact, the last time I tried to call, he sent a text message that he couldn’t talk because he had Covid and was in the hospital. He asked me to give her a kiss from him. What a sweetheart he was!

Prayers and loving thoughts are with your family. I worked with Jim at Ft. Benning for several years and he always had a smile on his face. His smile would always uplift me on a bad day. He loved to kid around and help others. May God give you comfort on the sad days.
