Jean “Rooster” Powell, age 74, resident of Fortson, Georgia, passed away on Sunday, April 5, 2020 at her residence. Private graveside services will be held at Lakeview Memory Gardens, Phenix City, Alabama.
Mrs. Powell, daughter of the late James Claude Grogan and Alice Lucille Lawrence Grogan, was born July 31, 1945 in Columbus, Georgia. She graduated from Baker High school and later attended college. After college, Mrs. Powell worked at CB&T Bank where she was Secretary to the President.
