Johnny Curtis Young, 61, of Opelika, AL, passed away on June 11, 2019.

Memorial services will be held at 11:30 am CST, on Saturday, June 15, 2019, at Lakeside Church of God, 3295 Lee Road 54, Opelika, AL 36804, with Pastor Vance McCollum and Pastor Doug Click officiating.

Johnny was born on August 25, 1957, in Opelika, AL, the son of the late Robert William Young and Alma Sanders Young. He enjoyed being outdoors, gardening, music and spending time with his family. He also loved his dog Reo, never saw one without the other.

Other than his mother he is survived by his loving wife of 15 years, Cathy Young; 3 daughters, Amber Bryant of Opelika, Whitney Beth Young of Opelika and Amy Wingard of Phenix City; 2 sons, John Nicholas Young (Sharon) of Columbus and Charles Wingard (Amethyist) of Columbus; 2 sisters, Olean Rudd (AW) of Opelika and Alice Carol (Thomas) of Opelika; 1 brother, Roy Young (Roselyn) of Chattanooga, TN; 7 grandchildren, Kendall Young, Hunter Bryant, Zachary Bryant, Madison Young, Bailey Taylor, Tyler Preston and Jaxon Preston; Many cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Lee County Humane Society, 1140 Ware Drive, Auburn, AL 36832.
