Judy was a special lady! I was privileged to work with her on staff at Philadelphia Baptist. She truly loved her church family. She and Mr Buddy were a blessing to all that they came in contact with. She was always “on the job” for The Lord! She loved Jesus and it showed. I was always amazed at how she could get the men to speak for Baptist Men’s Day! She worked diligently putting together fellowship meals, showers, Homecomings and always stayed on budget! A great cook, book keeper, activities director, etc., whatever was asked of her, she was happy to do. Very creative! She put a lot of thought into everything she did. Her work on earth is done!

Sheila and Alford our thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time. Your mother and father were very special people in my life growing up in our small church. They left a Godly fingerprint on all they touched.

Aunt Judy was always a treasure to my soul. I will never forget when my new husband and I were on our first cross country military move. We went the southern route so Steve could meet my mother’s family. We were at Judy and Buddy’s home when they both had Steve bow down in front of our grandmother Crook and pledge his undying loyalty to her and hers. It took about 10 minutes and Judy was laughing so hard she was crying!! I am grateful for her example of a Christian woman inside and out.
