Karen Greene Renfroe Bartholf, 77, of Phenix City, Alabama passed away peacefully at Piedmont Midtown in Columbus, Georgia.
A Graveside service will held at 11:30 AM EST on Friday, November 25, 2022, at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery with James (Bug) Eiland officiating. The family will receive friends beginning at 9:30 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home 3738 U.S. Highway 431 North Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Bartholf was born in Clayton, Alabama, the daughter of the late T.K. Renfroe and Lola Greene Renfroe. While enjoying an evening of skating at Idle Hour Park, she met the love of her life the late Lawrence Frank Bartholf. “Granny” as she known by all enjoyed many adventures in life including fishing, gardening and flowers. She also had a passion for taking care of any stray animal, making sure they were fed and had shelter. Granny especially enjoyed the holidays and making memories with her family. She also treasured the time she spent with all her great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. Bartholf was preceded in death by brothers Clifford Greene Renfroe and Henry Renfroe; sister Dimple Renfroe Bryan and Sons Richard Henry Bartholf and Clifford Greene Bartholf.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter Alice Carden (Ray) of Phenix City, AL; son David Frank Bartholf (Judy) of Phenix City, AL; sister Sarah Smith of Phenix City, AL; brother Richard Renfroe (Shirley) of Smiths Station, AL; grandchildren Chad Carden, Dave Bartholf, Dustin Bartholf, Quinton Bartholf, Mason Bartholf, Patrick Bartholf and Tiffany Bartholf and great grandchildren Cyler, Bradley, Morgan, Celeste, Koa, Luke and Hayden.
