Karen Sue Barefoot, 63, of Smiths Station, AL died at her home on Thursday, November 05, 2020.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.
Mrs. Barefoot was born November 16, 1956 in Monterey, CA daughter of the late Ivy Lee Henderson and Linnie Pauline Strange Henderson. She worked as a Caretaker, however this was a ministry as well as a job. Karen loved everyone and never met a stranger, in fact she was know by many as “Aunt” Karen. She loved to garden, cook and take care of folks. We will miss her in our daily routine, but we will always remember her and cherish her in our hearts.
Survivors include her two children, Shawn Barefoot (Brittany) and Candice Barefoot all of Smiths Station, AL; one brother, Jimmy Henderson (Dawn); two sisters, Patricia Henderson Clark and Linda Griffith ; five grandchildren, Brantley, Carter, and Kingston Barefoot, Charles and Dale Sapp; family friend, Wayne Thomas; several nieces, nephews and other close friends also survive.
