Lorine Audry London, 76, of Columbus, GA passed away on Sunday, July 9, 2023 at her residence. Graveside services will be held at Fort Mitchell National Cemetery on Thursday, July 13, 2023 beginning at 10:00 AM with Rev. Mike Reeves officiating. The family will receive friends Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM.

Lorine was born on October 6, 1946 in Acworth, GA to James and Lois Carder. As a homemaker, she devoted her life to taking care of her most precious treasure, her family. Whether it was traveling together or sharing a delicious meal which she had so lovingly prepared, she found her greatest joy when she was with her husband, children, and grandchildren.

Lorine had a deep appreciation for nature. She liked hummingbirds and viewing lakes and rivers. She had a special gift of growing beautiful rose bushes and creating memories by pictures. Lorine enjoyed watching television, especially General Hospital, and listening to country music, Conway Twitty and Loretta Lynn being her favorite singers. She attended Second Avenue Baptist Church.

Lorine will always be remembered for her generous heart and caring spirit. Her presence on earth will be greatly missed, but her memory will always be held close to the hearts of those whose lives she touched.

Lorine is preceded in death by her parents James and Lois Carder, sons John Wayne Chappell and James Edward Chappell, sisters Cheryl Green and Betty Kennedy, and brothers Frank Carder and Bo Carder.

Survivors include her loving and dedicated husband of over 57 years George London, daughter Leontine Chambers (Brian) of Columbus, GA, sons Howard W. London of Lafayette, IN and George London (Glenda) of Columbus, GA, brother Ray Carder of Acworth, GA, brother-in-law Frank Albino, daughters-in-law Jennifer Chappell and Hilda Chappell, 13 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
