Luther Steven “Steve” Spurlock, 67, of Smiths Station, AL died at Regional Rehab on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, October 27th at 2:00 PM (EST) in in Lakeview Memory Gardens according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Matt Stephens officiating. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM (EST) Tuesday, October 26th and 12:30 PM till 1:30 PM on Wednesday, October 27th at the funeral home.
Steve was born October 26, 1953 in Opp, AL son of the late Luther Spurlock and Rosa Lee Spurlock. He had retired from Pitney Bowes as a Technician. He loved to go to Mississippi to the casinos and have fun. Steve also enjoyed fishing and telling jokes. His favorite thing in life however was spending time with his grandchildren. They were the light of his eye! We will miss his jokes, even if not all of them were funny, and the special memories we made together as family. He will forever be in our hearts and memories.
Mr. Spurlock was preceded in death by his parents and a son, Bubba Myers; five siblings, Calvin Spurlock, Bobby Spurlock, Margaret Sawyer, Bernice Melton and Josephine Woods.
Survivors include his wife, Karen Pierce Spurlock, Smiths Station, AL; four children, Steven Scott “Scotty” Spurlock (Leslie), Christopher Spurlock (Annazzette), Ricky Myers (Tammy) and Tina Bruner (Kevin); two siblings, Howard Earl Spurlock (Sue) and Margie Procise (Tim); eleven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
