Mrs. Mabel Thompson Locklear, 74, of Phenix City, AL passed away Friday, March 5, 2021 at Magnolia Manor in Columbus, GA.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm (EST) on Saturday, March 13, 2021 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Chaplain Daniel Mitchell officiating. Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.
Mrs. Locklear was born January 4, 1947 in North Carolina, daughter of the late Elmer Thompson and Lola Thompson. She worked in the meat packing industry for most of her career. Mrs. Locklear enjoyed shopping at both yard sales and the flea market. Her other passions were flowers and spending time with her family.
Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Irene Parham and a brother, Elmer Thompson.
She is survived by her husband, Quince Albert Locklear, Sr. of Phenix City, AL; daughters, Patricia Locklear and La-Donna Locklear, both of Phenix City, AL; a son, Quince Albert Locklear, Jr. of Crawford, AL; a sister, Caroline Staley and a brother, Larry Thompson; grandchildren, Patricia (Paul), Larry, Curtis, Tommy, Brian, Amber, and Shelby; great-grandchildren, Allison, Annalee, Addilyn, Havyn, Ava, Max, Finn, Daniel, Hannah, and Elizabeth; several nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Mrs. Locklear.
