My sincere condolences to the family during this time of loss. Even Jesus wept at the loss of a loved one. I have found comfort in the scriptural promise at Rev 21:3, 4 and I pray you will as well.

I want to offer my condolences to the Maddox family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death. Even Jesus gave way to tears when Lazarus died(John 11:35).Take comfort in knowing that our Heavenly Father knows your pain. He calls death an enemy and promised to remove it forever__ Isaiah 25:8 “he will swallow up death forever”. He also promised to awaken our love ones from asleep in death. Notice how this is beautifully expressed at Hosea 13:14 “From the power of the Grave I will redeem them; From death I will recover them.” Let these promises from our loving Father keep comforting all of you.
