Mary Nell Phillips, 75, of Phenix City, AL died while surrounded by her family on Sunday, November 29, 2020.
Funeral services will be held at 12:30PM (EST) on Thursday, December 03, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Andy Stinson officiating. Interment will follow on Friday, December 4, 2020 at 11:00 AM (EST) at Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00PM on Wednesday at the funeral home.
Mrs. Phillips was born February 16, 1945 in Breman, GA daughter of the late Luther Morton McCarley and Annie Willie Mitchell Williams. She was a homemaker who loved caring for her family, especially the numerous grandchildren. Mrs. Phillips also enjoyed caring for others outside of her family, often serving as a care giver. She found happiness in fishing and gardening. We will remember her loving touch, stern ways and caring spirit. She will always be a cherished memory in our hearts.
Mrs. Phillips was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence H. Phillips and a daughter, Lisa Collins.
Survivors include her five daughters, Angela Walker (Al), Allison Mize (David), Wanda Craze (Nathan), Miranda Newsome (David) all of Phenix City, AL and Marlene Culver (Eric) Salem, AL; twelve grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
