Michael “Mike” Wayne Holmes, 53, of Phenix City, AL passed away on Friday, July 26, 2019 at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 am EST on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home with Rev.  Donnie Lumpkin officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends on Saturday from 10:00 am to 11:00 am EST, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mike was born February 6, 1966 in Columbus, GA, son of the late Loyce James Holmes and Mary Nell Griffin Holmes.  He worked for many years in the paint industry at Sherwin Williams.  Mike enjoyed fishing, trips to Florida but above all, he loved spending time with his children.

Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca Holmes.

He is survived by three children, Sarah Madison Holmes, Serena Ann Holmes and Ethan Hunter Holmes; one brother, James Bruce Holmes and wife Sherry Ann of Smiths Station, AL; several other extended family and friends.
