We have been out of town and just returned and heard of Mildred's passing. I loved her dearly and had so much respect for her. I had so many memories from many years back with both her and Faye and enjoying good times and much laughter. We were members together in various civic clubs and I so enjoyed this wonderful, lovely lady. Bill, you and the entire family are in my thoughts and prayers and I pray God will give you all the comfort and strength needed to get through losing this vital piece of this family. May God Bless each of you with his Grace. Love to each, Joan

I was sad to hear of Mrs. Benton's passing. She was always so gracious and kind to Rebecca and me. I fondly remembered meeting her the first time at her home in Pitts- view. She,as well as Mr.Bill were pillars of the community.
I know that she is home with God, but know her family grieves her passing. What a great lady.

My deepest sympathy to the family. While words fail to capture the pain of losing a loved one.
We can look forward to the time, when no one will have to died. Revelations 21:3-5

I want to offer my condolences to the Benton family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death. Even Jesus wept when Lazarus died (John 11:35) and it pains our Creator, too. Jesus stated at John 5:28, 29 that "all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out" and he proved that it will happen by resurrecting Lazarus from death. Our Heavenly Father promised that all suffering, including death, will be taken away forever. Notice how it is stated at Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I hope these promises from our Creator give all of you

I am very sorry to hear of Mrs. Benton's passing. I have never known her but Mr. Benton was DA when I started practicing law and is someone that I will never forget. I know he and his wife have forged a strong path for the Russell County Bar with all the attorneys in the family, all of whom I have had the honor or practicing with through the years. All of you will be in my prayers as it is never easy to say goodbye to those that mean so much to us. Bless you all.

Mrs. Mildred Benton...Certainly a familiar face of my youth at Westside Baptist in Phenix City. Mrs. Benton was quite wise in choosing to work with the young girls at Westside and not so much us boys. She was a true mentor. Her life is best revealed in the Legacy she and Mr. Benton created in their children. Simply a fine Family of the highest order. Mrs. Benton lived a full and productive life. To the Benton Family I say, "Well done. Celebrate and be proud."...Bill Blau
