Mrs. Bailey, daughter of the late Jimmy Johnson and Odessa Hunt Johnson, was born April 28, 1934 in Opelika, Alabama. She worked in the restaurant business for many years and was Baptist by faith. Mrs. Bailey was a simple lady that enjoyed spending time outside, soaking up the sun; being with nature, and working in her garden, particularly the roses bushes. She loved country music and spending quality time with her family, particularly the grandchildren. In her latter years, she was a resident of Phenix City Healthcare and would be at the entrance greeting people entering. The family remembers her as a woman who loved her family immensely; one who accepted everyone they way they were, never having judgement on anyone.

Mrs. Bailey is survived by a daughter, Pat Allmendinger and her husband Greg of Phenix City; son, James Bailey and Melissa Flournoy of Columbus; two grandchildren, Megan Allmendinger and John Sciulara of Hoover, Alabama and Michael Bailey and his wife Caitlyn of Dothan, Alabama; great-grandson, Asher Sciulara; great-grandson, Maddox Sciulara; and expecting great-grandson, Frankie Bailey; many other relatives and friends.
