Vicki and family; Bart was a wonderful person and friend. He always had that smile and was such a gentle man. Such a pleasure to be around; I remember in the early days our time on the racquetball court, probably 30 years ago.В  So many good memories from the old church...May God Bless you all and comfort you through this time...Butch and Virginia Beach

Vicki, Linda and I offer our sincere condolences to you and your family.В  I remember the first time I visited Cascade Hills about 30 years ago, Bart was the person who came to my apartment during visitation the next week.В  Through the years we have known Bart, he always had an encouraging word for me whenever we saw each other, which meant a lot to me.В  You are in our prayers.

VScott left a message on March 19, 2019:

I want to offer my condolences to the Washington family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death, regardless of how long they have lived. Even Jesus, when on earth gave way to tears from the loss of a loved one (John 11:33, 35, 38). Ultimately Our Almighty Father of tender mercies knows your pain. He never purposed his human family to have health issues, grow old, and die, but to live in perfect health and a perfect life forever. It is still his purpose (Psalms 37:11, 29). He calls death an enemy and promised to remove sickness, old age, and death__ 1 Corinthians 15:26 “The last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing"; Isaiah 33:24 And no resident will say: "I am sick"; Isaiah 35:5,6; Job 33:24,25 “Let his flesh become fresher than in youth; Let him return to the days of his youthful vigor.” Finally, He promised to undo the effect of death by bringing our love ones in the memorial tombs back to life__ Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live...Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life.” I hope these words give you all comfort.
