Mr. David Howard Posey, II, 51, of Columbus, Ga passed away Tuesday, August 29, 2023 at the Piedmont Midtown Medical Center in Columbus, GA.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 am Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Grace Freewill Baptist Church, 10290 Lee Road 240, Phenix City, AL 36870.

Mr. Posey was born July 30, 1972 in Phenix City, AL, son of Linda Dempsey Posey and the late David Howard Posey, Sr.  He was self-employed working in the construction and maintenance industry for most of his career.  Mr. Posey had a wide range of hobbies including hunting, fishing, automotive repair, and drawing.  He loved being in nature, observing wildlife and collecting Indian artifacts.

Other than his mother, he is survived by a daughter, Ashlyn Posey Hudson and husband, Brandon, of Salem, AL; two sons, Blake Sanders of Oak Harbor, WA and Alexander David Posey of FL; a sister, Kathryn Posey Bryant and husband, John, of Fernandina Beach, FL; grandchildren, Scarlett, Olivia and Willow; as well as, several extended family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Grace Freewill Baptist Church, 10290 Lee Road 240, Phenix City, AL 36870 in memory of David.
