Dr. Robert Charles Lake, Sr., 82, of Montgomery, AL passed away Tuesday, August 24, 2023, at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL.
A Celebration of Life will be held later.
Dr. Lake was born August 20, 1941, in New Orleans, LA, the son of the late Fredrick J. Lake and Mildred Clarian Lake. He obtained a Doctor of Business Administration (DBA) in Accounting from Louisiana Tech University and spent much of his career as a professor at Auburn University of Montgomery.
Bob, as he preferred to be called, enjoyed retirement. He spent his time traveling and playing bridge, both online and at the local bridge club in Montgomery. He had many close and loving friends that he enjoyed being around.
He is survived by two sons, Steve Lake and wife Michelle of Phenix City, AL and Bobby Lake and wife Connie of Auburn, AL. Bob had six grandchildren: Joshua, Emily, Charlie, Lydia, Jacob, and Anna. He is also survived by his older brother Frederick Lake and a sister Nora Hartquist.
