I had the pleasure of meeting Mrs. Gypsy once while at the Phenix City Library. From the small encounter we shared she made such a grand and lasting impression on me; truly one of the sweetest souls I’d ever met!Sending lots of love and prayers to her family & loved ones ❤️

So sorry to hear about Gypsy. We were two of the older children in the West family. Know that she will be missed by all of her family and friends. The family can take comfort in knowing that she is not suffering now and is in a better place. One day we will all be together again. I have been reflecting on the past and remember when our Mom's families were still around. We would have our 5th Sundays, when all of the families would get together for potluck meals ( sharing their favorite recipes). Those were great times and it kept the families together. We would always end up playing football after the meals. Too bad we are all spread out over the country and can't do that today. Take care of yourselves. Keeping the family in our thoughts and prayers. May God bless you! The Carden Family

On behalf of my family, I’d like to extend my condolences to Mrs. Gypsy’s family. She was a truly wonderful person. As a little girl, my parents always took me and my brother to the library where we were sure to see her smiling face. I take comfort in knowing that she’s resting with the angels alongside my dad.

I remember the first time I saw her was at Philadelphia Baptist Church. She came years ago to read to the children. She struck me immediately as a beautiful woman. Well dressed, soft-spoken. She definitely kept the kids attention. I was privileged to get to know her as she subbed with me at the church. She loved her family so much that is all she talked about. She definitely made an impact on me as well as her sweet family and I will miss her. Praying for everyone. A great loss here on earth But definitely a celebration in heaven.❤️

My deepest condolences on your great loss and Heaven's great gain. Thank you for allowing me to be your chaplain during this time. I know your faith will sustain you and keep you during the time of trial. I pray for your good health as well. I am out of pocket for a few days so I won't be able to attend. Psalms 121 I will look unto the hills where comes my help
