Johanna Piechula Gordon, 85, of Phenix City, Alabama, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 15, 2020.
A Graveside Service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2020 at 1:00 PM with Father David Hamm officiating. The family will receive friend at the graveside after the service.
Ms. Gordon was born in Beuthen O.S., Germany the daughter of the late Herbert Piechula and Martha Muschiol Kalin. She became a Master Seamstress prior to leaving Germany for the United States. After relocating to United States, Ms. Gordon began working as a Seamstress and her name was synonymous with excellence. Often, Ms. Gordon would make clothing for her family members in New York. She was a hard worker and her work ethic placed her among the elite in her profession. Ms. Gordon was also an animal lover which brought her much happiness and companionship. She loved to laugh and enjoyed life.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Gordon was preceded in death by two brothers.
Left to cherish her memory two sisters Elizabeth Emberlin of Phenix City, AL and Christine Deneen of Millerton, NY and nieces Deborah Mordecai and Ann Deneen.
