Roy Gene Keith, 83, of Phenix City, AL died at his residence Wednesday, December 09, 2020 surrounded by his family.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 in the Chapel of Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL with Rev. Greg Hyche and Rev. Wesley Price officiating. Deacons of the church and St. Paul Sunday School will serve as active and honoary pallbearers. Interment with U. S. Air Force honors will follow in Ft. Mitchell National Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM on Monday evening at the funeral home.
Mr. Keith was born September 07, 1937 in Coffee County, AL son of the late Wilmer Keith and Bunnie Holley Keith. He was a U. S. Air Force Veteran serving in the Security Police. After his service to our country, he began a career driving trucks. He retired from Triple A Cooper Transportation and the Teamsters Union after 39 years of committed service. Mr. Keith was a faithful member of Ladonia Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon and Sunday School teacher in the St. Paul Class beginning in 1976. He was also an important part of the Pulpit Committee. We will remember him as a hard-working husband and family man who lived out his Christian faith daily.
Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Sandra Massey Keith, Phenix City, AL; two brothers, Donald Keith, Samson, AL and Ronnie Keith, Opp, AL; brother-in-law, Paul Massey, Smiths Station, AL; nieces, nephews and friends also survive.
