

Ruby Lynn McCullough, 91, of Columbus, GA passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at her home at Morningside Assisted Living Center in Columbus, GA. A funeral service will be held at Vance-Brooks Funeral Home, 4048 Macon Road, Columbus, GA on Saturday, February 18, 2017 beginning at 3:00 P.M. EST with the Reverend Bob Hawkins officiating. The interment will conclude the service at Parkhill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, prior to the service at the funeral home beginning at 1:30 P.M. EST.
Mrs. McCullough was born April 6, 1925 in Powder Springs, GA to the late James Pinkney Arnold and Lucy Pearl Clonts Arnold. She was a homemaker who enjoyed painting, knitting, needle work, Bingo and bird watching. Spending time with her grandchildren also gave her special joy.
Other than her parents, Mrs. McCullough is predeceased by her loving husband of 66 years, Thomas E. McCullough; a sister, Helen Duren; and a brother, Lowell Arnold.
Survivors include one sister, Dorothy Ellis of Temple, GA; two daughters: Becky Rucker and husband, Mike; Rena Murray and husband, Stan; one son, Gary McCullough and wife Jo Farris; three grandchildren: Lori Icenhour and husband, Chris; Jodi Rucker McCardle, and Tiel Murray; three great-grandchildren, Brittany Nelson, Chandler Condit, and Kenley McCardle; and two great, great grandchildren: Brayden and Jordan Condit. Mrs. McCullough is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other loving extended family members and many caring friends.
The family acknowledges the compassionate care of Gentiva Hospice, Morningside Assisted Living, and especially Edith Strickland.
