Samuel Lee Hern, 73, of Phenix City, AL passed away Sunday, September 1, 2019 at Jack Hughston Memorial Hospital in Phenix City, AL.

Mr. Hern was born February 27, 1946 in Kenova, West Virginia, son of the late Roy Hern and Francis Smith Hern. He worked in the finance industry for most of his career and owned his own finance company, Senior Mortgage, for many years. Mr. Hern enjoyed reading and cooking but most of all he loved sailing and spending time with his family.
He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Lenora Bizub Hern of Phenix City, AL; two children, Jessica Hern of Atlanta, GA and Ryan Hern and wife Katie of Smiths Station, AL; one brother, Roy Hern and wife Elizabeth of St. Petersburg, FL; two grandchildren, Jordyn Hern and Jayden Hern; several extended family and friends.
