Sharon Maxwell Cork, 65, of Smiths, AL passed away suddenly on Friday, August 24, 2018 at Piedmont Hospital.
A funeral will be held at 11am EST at Smith Station Baptist Church, Tuesday, August 28, 2018. Pastor David Kees will officiate, and burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation is Monday from 6-8 at Vance Memorial Chapel in Phenix City.
Mrs. Cork was born February 16, 1953 in Lebanon, Indiana to the late Dalton and Barbara Maxwell. She was a longtime member at Smith Station Baptist Church and enjoyed helping people at the church food bank or anytime. She had worked at Plaza Pharmacy for over 15 years and enjoyed camping with her husband and family any chance she had.
Other than her parents she is preceded in death by a brother Gary Maxwell and her other parents Don and Mary Easter.
She is survived by her husband of 42 years, Donald Cork; children, Shannon Montano and husband Luis, Michelle Cork, Dawn Fiqueroa and husband Oliver, and Kim Thomas and husband Rick; siblings, Steve Maxwell and wife Diane, Joan Bearden and husband Gerald, Rick Easter, and Guenda Leonard and husband David; grandchildren, Marco, Niki, Lorelai, Adyson, Andee, and Brittany; her dog Kacie and several nieces and nephews, other extended family and many loving friends.
