Troy A. Smith, 41, of Phenix City, AL died unexpectedly Saturday, October 5, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, October 09, 2019 at Epworth United Methodist Church with Rev. Grant Parker officiating according to Vance Brooks Funeral Home, Phenix City, AL.  Mr. Smith will lie in state one hour prior to the service at the church.  A committal service will follow in Lakeview Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00 till 8:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Smith was born March 31, 1978 in Columbus, GA son of Kenneth Smith and the late Diane Ray Smith. He was a Master Mason with Lodge # 351, Wilson Williams and a member of the Phenix City Shrine Club. Troy loved to hunt, fish and watch Auburn Football. He never met a stranger, and to know him was to love him. Troy had a gentle way about him, always putting others at ease with a joke. The absolute pride in his life were his three children! While he was taken from us too soon, we will always honor him and cherish his memories in our hearts.

Survivors include his three children, Logan A. Smith, Laney Ann Smith and Lilly Ann Smith all of Phenix City, AL;  his dad, Kenneth Smith (Susan H.), Phenix City, AL; two brothers, Stoney Smith and Clint Smith, both of Phenix City, AL; a nephew, Wyatt “What” Smith, Phenix City, AL; numerous cousins down in Orange Beach, AL and many friends and colleagues also survive.
