Trudi Marie Reid

Trudi Marie McDermott Reid, 70, of, AL, passed away Friday, December 14, 2018 at Lakewood Senior Living in Smiths Station, AL.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 pm EST on December 27, 2018 at Vance Brooks Funeral Home in Phenix City, AL with Father Robert Schlageter officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5:00 to 6:00 pm, one hour prior to the service, at the funeral home.

Mrs. Reid was born January 2, 1948 in New York, daughter of the late John B. McDermott and Marie Williams McDermott.  She retired from the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she worked in the International Admissions office.  Mrs. Reid also served on the Tax Review Board at the college.  Her hobbies included reading and knitting.

She is survived by her two sons, Raymond Reid and wife Carrie of Phenix City, AL and John Reid and wife Amy of Georgetown, TX; one sister, Donna Perry of Tampa, FL; one brother, John McDermott and spouse Ronnie of Rhode Island; grandchildren, Raymond, Hanna, Ruby, Grace, Stanley, Bryce, Sarah and Tater; one great-grandchild, Raelyn; several other loving family members and caring friends.
