Vivian Thomas, passed away December 22, 2017. Vivian was loved by many and loved many things, but her life can be summed up by this: Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law.” Those who knew her, either by …

Sincere condolences to all. Especially those who lives were touch by Vivian. God's word often compares death to sleep . John 11:11-14 God can awaken the dead just as we can awake a person from sleep.

I want to offer my condolences to the Thomas family and friends. It is a painful thing to lose a love one in death, regardless of how long they have lived. Even Jesus wept when Lazarus died (John 11:35) and it pains our Creator, too. He calls death an enemy that will be removed forever__1 Corinthians 15:26 “the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing.” He promised to remove all pain, suffering, and death so that his human family will be able to enjoy life as he purposed__ Psalms 37:10,11; Revelation 21:4 “And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” He has promised to awaken those asleep in death in the memorial tombs so they can be reunited with their love ones to enjoy true happiness__ Isaiah 26:19 “Your dead will rise ...Awake and shout joyfully you residents in the dust! ...the earth will let those powerless in death come to life." I hope these words give all of you comfort.

Dear Thomas family. I am so sorry to have read of the death of Vivian. Please accept my sincere condolences. I would like to share something that I have personally found to be comforting. It is found in the Bible at John 5:28, 29 and Revelation 21:4. These verses tell us that soon God is going to bring about a resurrection of our dear loved ones as well as do away with all causes we have for suffering, including sickness and death. Knowing this has always comforted me and it is my hope that these thoughts will comfort your family also.
